FIFA World Cup 2022 | Match 52 | Senegal Crashed out Following 3-0 Beating by England. The Brits Advance to the Quarterfinals

In yet another show of dominance at the FIFA 2022 World Cup, England easily defeated Senegal 3-0 in the fourth round of 16 match to proceed to the quarterfinals for the second straight time and play the reigning champions France. Henderson and Captain Kane’s goals gave the Bits the lead in the first half as they nearly completely controlled the game. Afterwards, Saka scored a third goal in the second half to seal the victory over Senegal.

Senegal started the game in the first half and made solid attempts to put early pressure on the British with sharp, precise passes throughout the field. Senegal’s Dia created an early chance to score in the sixth minute, but Senegal’s Dia was outpaced by Harry Maguire’s speed. He was unable to get a shot on goal, and goalie Pickford was able to gather the ball.

After Senegal’s initial assault, England quickly took control of possession and produced a few scoring opportunities. Despite the fact that neither England nor Senegal have yet to attempt a goal, both teams have launched strong counterattacks. Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka started to slip the chains and launched a few shots at the Senegal goal. Kane nearly delivered a flawless assist when he drove a thunderous left-footed cross into the area, but Saka was unable to connect.

Around the 30-minute mark, Dia intercepted a poor pass from Saka and made the first promising attempt for Senegal to score, throwing in a powerful shot that Pickford blocked. At the Al Bayt Stadium, England picked up steam in the final 15 minutes of the first half after a slow start. Jordan Henderson scored the game’s first goal after Jude Bellingham delivered a beautiful cross 39 minutes into the match.

When the referee blew the whistle to conclude the first half with England leading Senegal 2-0, captain Harry Kane had just three minutes remaining when he unleashed an incredible strike to score his team’s second goal. Kane’s first goal of the competition was this one. The captain’s welcoming goal at FIFA 2022 ended his goalless streak.

The action continued to alternate between both teams as the second half got under way. Both Senegal and England are attempting their hardest to score their first goals. Bukayo Saka, England’s star striker, joined the celebration 57 minutes into the game when his effort finally found the back of the net, giving England a 3-0 advantage over the opposition. Senegal almost scored their first goal thanks to a comeback goal by Saka to atone for a poor pass he made in the first half.

Senegal was demolished by the English onslaught and now faced a virtually likely defeat. However, the Africans made a valiant effort to respond, with Senegal’s Diedhiou, Gueye, Sarr, and Bamba all making promising attempts to score, but all in vain as the game was ultimately decided by the referee’s final whistle, giving England the victory.

The outcome was a straightforward triumph for Team England. The British Lions were on their way after goals from captain Harry Kane and forward Jordan Henderson in the first half; Bukayo Saka added a third to put an end to their chances. After defeating Senegal by a score of 3-0, England will now take on France on December 10 in an attempt to move to the semifinals.
